It takes alot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure,
to embrace the new, but there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful.
There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life and in change there is power.
- Alan Cohen
"They say That time changes things,
but actually you have to change them yourself."

Go around the Obstacles
We can learn a lot by watching how water relates to the world around it.
It's fluid. It goes around any obstacle in its way. (It doesn't stop to argue!)
It flows downstream rather than struggling to push upstream as many of us are doing in life.
It Just goes with the flow.
Perhaps that's why watching the action and rhythm of water is so peaceful and soothing to the human mind.
- From The Little Book Of Peace
On Undoing the knots
The goal of yoga is not to tie ourselves in knots, we are already tied in plenty of those!
The aim is to untie the knots in our hearts and minds.
To Unite with the ultimate, loving and peaceful power in the universe.
If you want to understand the beauty of a bird, a fly, or a leaf, or a person with all his complexities, you have to give your whole attention, which is awareness.....such a state is like living with a snake in the room; you watch its every movement, you are very very sensitive to the slightest sound it makes. Such a state of attention is total energy, this is Dharana the sixth limb of yoga
On The Light Within
"There is a light that shines beyond all things on earth, beyond the highest, the very highest heavens. This is the light that shines in your heart."
- Chandogya Upanishad
"The success of Yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures but in how it positively changes the way we live our life and our relationships."
"Yoga exists in the world because everything is linked."
- T.K.V. Desikachar
On Stilling The Mind
Yoga is the restriction of the fluctuations of consciousness. (translation by Georg Feuerstein)
- Yoga Sutra 1.2
Inhale, and God approaches you. Hold the inhalation, and God remains with you. Exhale, and you approach God. Hold the exhalation, and surrender to God.
- Tirumalai Krishnamacharya
