Wonderful Kerala!

Tuesday 2nd May 2017

A fantastic 2 weeks was had by 20 yogis at the palm tree yoga centre Kerala. 2 hours of yoga in the morning, facing out towards the palm fringed beach, and then restorative yoga as the sun went down. (Thanks to my Colleague Abra) Palm tree is perfect for chilling out, kicking off your shoes walking on the beach and enjoying wonderful vegetarian curries. Farewell Desikachar

Wednesday 24th August 2016

TKV Desikachar, the son of legendary T. Krishnamacharya, died on the 8th August 2016 at the age of 78. He is one of the last students from the direct Krishanmacharya lineage, nephew of B.K.S. Iyengar, and founded the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India. One of his seminal books, The Heart of Yoga, is found in many teacher training programs. I was very fortunate to meet Desikachar around 10 years ago, and will always remember him adjusting me in Paschimottonasana, and taking my…
